CHIC in the City Stylist Profiles

CHIC in the City is all about making stylist advice more accessible to the every day woman, not just for stars and celebrities.  We cater to women of all shapes and sizes. Our philosophy is all about empowering women to feel more comfy in their own skin, giving them the confidence to define their own sense of style.  From a style perspective, we are all about mixing timeless investment pieces with everyday basics, plus a touch of uniqueness with vintage pieces.

Fleur – Director

Fleur’s flair for fashion started at the age of 12, when her mother told her if she wanted designer clothes she needed to pay for them herself! So every weekend, she worked at the markets selling clothes and jewellery to then buy the designer clothes she wanted.  At a young age, Fleur also worked as a dresser at high-end fashion shows dressing models such as Rachel Hunter.
Her creative passion for style, shopping and luxury brands, led her to advertising and her career has allowed her to travel extensively, spending six years living in Asia. She has worked with many international stylists and celebrities on TV and print shoots across Australia, NZ, Japan, Hong Kong, India, Italy, and Singapore.
She is a seasoned expert shopper with a real gift for hunting down all the shopping secrets within a city. She understands how to maximise limited shopping time and knows where to go for unique fashion pieces and gifts that no-one else has.
With her experience as a successful career woman and Mum, she has a wealth of knowledge and empathy on achieve a personal style that reflects the many roles you play in life, as well as allow you to reflect your individuality and be comfy in your own skin! Eliza – Stylist

Eliza has worked in the fashion and entertainment industry for ten years. She not only has an eye for style she has a passion for it. Her career as an actor and model means she is continually attending fashion shows and events throughout the year in Australia, Italy, London, New York and LA. Her regular contact with designers and high-end retailers, allows Eliza to keep up with the latest trends.
Eliza’s styling tips have grabbed the attention of some of Australia’s top designers. Working as a visual merchandiser and area manager for designer Rebecca Davies, Eliza has dressed celebrities and assisted selling ranges to fashion buyers all over the globe. Her assemble choices always allowed Rebecca’s clientele the option to look elegant and sophisticated while feeling flirtatious and sexy.  
Her patience and willingness to listen to what her clients want, she will not only create a look that is stylish and will leave you feeling comfortable and looking fabulous. Whether you want structured elegance or boho chic, Eliza is open to inventing a style that suits your needs.

Lydia-Jane Saunders – Senior Stylist

With more than nine years experience as both a stylist and jewellery designer, Lydia is a veteran of the fashion industry. With a fun yet functional style sense, Lydia offers clients a fashion insider’s perspective, a stylist’s knack and a designer’s eye.

As a designer, Lydia’s jewellery label has graced the pages of fashion bible Vogue Australia, Grazia, and Harper's BAZAAR and her creations have become a favourite of some of Australia’s and the world’s best dressed celebrities.

As a stylist, Lydia has worked with magazines around the world and advertising brands such as Philip B. Dr Lewinns and Wish and dressed celebrities that include Katrina Bowden from 30 Rock in the USA and local Australian celebrities. Lydia has also been lead stylist on many catwalk shows including the annual Breast Cancer Care Ball and the Hampton Court Palace Flower Show in London and the Doltone House Melbourne Cup Show in Sydney.

Spending time each year in London whilst living in Sydney and travelling near and far when time permits, Lydia keeps up to date on the latest international trends; from street wear in London’s West End to Haute Couture in Paris and works tirelessly to incorporate elements into client’s wardrobes.

From the catwalk to the boardroom, to everyday life, Lydia is an expert in creating fashionable, functional and fabulous wardrobes to suit your style, personality and lifestyle.

Emma Giammarco – Stylist

Emma is at her happiest when she’s styling, wearing or playing with gorgeous clothes. She believes in dressing to suit each individual’s style and body shape, rather than following particular trends. She advises that a balanced mix of long-term classic investment pieces and cheaper trend pieces are the answer to the perfect wardrobe. Having worked for Westfield as a stylist for the Trinny & Susannah shows she has developed a keen eye for what styles suit particular body shapes and loves using this skill when working with CHIC clients.

Catriona – Luxury, Vintage and Australian Fashion Expert/Stylist

Catriona’s career started at the first Chanel boutique in Australia where she won the first sales award and was the youngest staff member.  She went on to manage the Gucci Boutique had a Christmas stint at Cartier then loved her 3 years at Tiffany and Co while collecting Elsa Peretti silver ware.  Catriona can spot a real from a fake in 50 metres.
In 2001 Catriona started her own shoe importing company, Xanadu Traders, and was the first to bring the Spanish Espadrille back into our summer wardrobes.  For the next 5 years her and her fashion siblings had one of the more loved stores in Sydney’s Surry Hills called ‘The Carvers Store’
Catriona takes our popular Vintage Fashion Tour and Fashion Walking Tours as well as writes articles on current and vintage fashion for CHIC’S blog.
She still can’t walk in her Gucci Clogs purchased in 1993 but is reluctant to let them go; they are Gucci after all.

Carolina – Stylist

Carolina calls herself an aesthetic enthusiast and style lover.  With an eclectic fashion personality disorder she is both a passionate and excellent hunter of extraordinary pieces. Born with an innate sense of style and an uncanny nose for the “what’s hot and new”.  She is fabulous putting an outfit together and portraying a stylish look.  Genuinely advising our clients what best suits them in terms of style, colour and silhouette.  She has a degree in Textile and Fashion design and further studies in marketing and styling.  Her extensive and valuable experience in the fashion scene include among others, being the designer and director of her own fashion label.

Tracy – Stylist

Despite her age Tracy’s level of fashion and stylist experience matches those of her older counter parts. In a very short amount of time, she has worked for some of Australia’s biggest designers, magazine and fashion events.  Tracy has been in the fashion industry for the last 6 years, both working and studying in the field. Tracy has completed extensive studies at FBI Fashion College including Styling, Cert IV Visual Merchandising, Cert IV Design and Production, PR, Fashion Buying and Consulting and Event Management.

Tracy’s passion for the fashion industry has caught the eye of Saba, Sass and Bide, Camilla, Ginger and Smart and Camilla and Marc. She has worked alongside these brands and many more coordinating backstage looks and controlling the mayhem that goes on at Rosemount Australian Fashion Week and Sydney Fashion Festival.

Tracy’s personal style is Chic, Modern and Effortless. Despite the look you are going for she has the experience and knowledge to create a style that both suits your body shape and lifestyle. Whether it be the latest runway looks or a wardrobe update, Tracy’s fresh view on fashion will leave you feeling confident with a look that will be envied by all.

Morgan – Stylist

Whilst completing a Bachelor of Design at UNSW's College of Fine Art, Morgan works as a freelance stylist for Channel nine dressing talents such as Lisa Wilkins and Kerry Anne-Kenley as well as working on set as a stylist for publicity shoots for brands like Bras n' Things. With an experience in modeling and assisting designers such as Leonie Levy Morgan has had a wied range of experience in the fashion industry and has been a passionate stylist with Chic in the City for 2 years.

Sandra – Make-up Artist/Stylist

Sandra is all about empowering woman to look and feel their best.  Whilst she specialises in make-up artistry, she also has an eye for styling.  Her philosophy is simple, she aims to share her insider knowledge with women to transform their look or teach techniques that stay with them for life.

With over nine years experience, Sandra is a Sydney based make-up artist specialising in fashion and bridal makeup and her passion is evident from the minute she picks up a brush.  Whilst working in New Zealand as a makeup artist for prestigious brand Estee Lauder, Sandra went on to secure a position most would only dream of, as retail manager for MAC Cosmetics before taking the plunge in 2006 and went freelance concentrating on the fashion and bridal arena. 

Today, Sandra has taken this incredible experience and broaden her skills beyond make-up and is giving back to the women of Sydney.

Melissa – Hair Stylist

With 14 years experience in hairdressing, my career began with my training at Toni&Guy in Sydney. I went on to work in the UK for three years and have since been involved in numerous shows and photographic shoots whilst maintaining a large clientele.

I get such joy from helping women look and feel their prettiest. I love to educate on what styles look best for them whether it be for a special occasion or for everyday wear.

Today, Sandra has taken this incredible experience and broaden her skills beyond make-up and is giving back to the women of Sydney.
